Embracing a New Phase: From Pain to Paradise
Overcoming Unexpected Setbacks
I have recently endured two untoward physical accidents that set me back on my path. In both cases, I refused surgery and chose to rely solely on the direct healing of the One (the Divine Inner Presence I always connect with) for recovery.
This decision meant my healing took time, and for a while, I only had one hand available to type. Naturally, this delayed me in bringing out the new training program and finishing my writing project. The good news is that everything is about 90% healed now.
I am back – fully engaged and ready to share the knowledge that I have kept hidden within me for decades. The setbacks tested my resolve, but they also reinforced the purpose of my journey.
Pain as a Catalyst for Change.
Pain, as difficult as it is to experience, often carries a profound message. In fact, pain is often a sign that remaining static is no longer an option.
The discomfort pushes us to move, to change, and to grow.
The challenges I’ve faced reaffirm this truth for me, and I believe they do for you as well. Rather than seeing pain only as an enemy, we can recognize it as a necessary inner message – a catalyst urging us to transcend our current state and embrace a new phase of life. As the poet Kahlil Gibran once wrote, “Your pain is the breaking of the shell that encloses your understanding.”
In other words, pain breaks us open so that we can expand our understanding and become more than who we were. When we treat pain as a teacher instead of just a tormentor, it can nourish our courage and propel us forward. Consider how pain serves as a catalyst for change.
Pain alerts us that something in our life needs attention. It wakes us from complacency and forces us to acknowledge issues we might have ignored.
Pain pushes us to seek healing and solutions – whether physical, emotional, or spiritual. It motivates us to take action and find new paths or practices that lead to improvement.
Ultimately, pain compels us to shed old habits and beliefs that no longer serve us. By wrestling with our problems and pain, we gain strength and wisdom, emerging transformed on the other side.
Indeed, “There is no normal life that is free of pain. It’s the very wrestling with our problems that can be the impetus for our growth.”
This insight reminds us that our struggles – and the pain that comes with them – are often the driving force behind our personal growth and evolution. Without pain, we might never find the incentive to leave our old ways and venture into the new.
A World in Suffering: Time to Cast Away Old Ways
What is true for individuals is also true on a larger scale. As we look around, we can see that our world today is sinking into significant amounts of suffering and disease.
Countless people are experiencing hardship – from illness and pandemic aftershocks to conflict, uncertainty, and despair. It’s as if humanity as a whole is feeling a deep pain.
But what message is this global pain conveying to us? I believe it is telling us that the old ways of living and thinking must be cast away, as if we were lifting a bad spell that has been holding us back. The habits, systems, and mindsets that have led to so much suffering need to be released.
Remaining static or clinging to the status quo is no longer an option for our society either, just as it isn’t for each of us individually.
The imagery of “bad spells” is a fitting metaphor – the old ways often have a kind of hypnotic grip on us, almost like an enchantment that keeps us stuck. These could include patterns of greed, excessive materialism, disconnection from nature, division among people, and neglect of our inner spiritual voice.
Such ways have proven to be harmful or hollow, and the rising pain across the world is a clear signal that they are unsustainable.
We must cast off these negative enchantments to break free of the suffering they cause.
On the other side of releasing old, harmful ways, new and enchanting possibilities await. It is as if magical “promised lands” are on the horizon – new ways of living, healing, and being that we have only dreamed of.
These promised lands represent a future built on wisdom, compassion, and harmony.
Imagine societies where we prioritize well-being, where technological and social innovations serve humanity and the planet, and where we live in alignment with spiritual truth and mutual care.
Such a future might have sounded like a fantasy once, but in times of great crisis, great change becomes not only possible but necessary. The collective pain is pushing us to envision and create something profoundly better.
Guidance in the Desert of the Unknown
Of course, leaving behind the familiar “old ways” and venturing toward a new reality can feel like stepping into a vast unknown. It’s akin to journeying into a desert – a place unbuilt and uncreated, where the old maps no longer guide us.
There is uncertainty and no established path in this wilderness of the future. How do we navigate this desert of the unknown without losing our way?
We shall first need the One to speak directly within us and guide our steps. In practical terms, this means turning to our inner connection with the divine source – listening to the voice of the One in our hearts.
Whether you call it God, the Universe, the Higher Self, or simply intuition, this inner divine guidance is crucial when external guides are absent.
Just as ancient travelers followed a pillar of light or a guiding star through the barren wilderness, we must follow the inner light of wisdom and love given by the One.
This guidance can come through quiet prayer, meditation, heartfelt intuition, or sudden inspiration, but it always speaks the language of truth and love. It reassures us that we are not alone in this uncharted territory.
Step by step, the One helps to steady our footing in the shifting sands of change.
With this guidance, the desert of the unbuilt and uncreated becomes less daunting because we carry within us a compass that always points toward our true north.
Each challenge or uncertainty we face in forging new ways can be met with confidence, knowing a divine hand is leading us.
This period of wandering and building is also a time of testing and strengthening our faith. We learn to trust the voice within and form a holy union with the One – a partnership in which our will aligns with divine will.
In doing so, we gain the clarity and courage to keep moving forward, even when the path is not yet visible.
Toward a Promised Paradise
As we continue on this journey, guided and growing, something beautiful begins to take shape. Through our perseverance and faith, we find that we are maturing spiritually. We are solidifying our holy union with the One – becoming more attuned and united with the divine purpose.
This maturation is like the solid ground forming under our feet after a long trek through shifting sands.
And with it comes a profound reward: the glimpse of a magnificent and true paradise ahead.
This promised paradise is not a naïve fantasy, but the very real outcome of transformation that humanity has yearned for over eons.
It is “true” in that it fulfills the deepest promises made in the legends and spiritual prophecies told throughout time. Think of the legends and songs from various cultures that speak of a golden age or a sacred land of harmony – those were intuitive dreams of what could be.
As we align with the One and cast off the old, we move closer to making those dreams a reality.
In this new paradise, suffering and strife are greatly diminished because we live in tune with divine law and love. We take care of one another, we honor the sanctity of life, and we finally understand our place in creation.
Reaching this paradise requires patience and faith.
Just as the Israelites in biblical times wandered through the desert before reaching their Promised Land, we too have to journey and grow before we can inherit the promise.
Our trials are forging us, individually and collectively, into the kind of beings who can build and thrive in a paradise of truth and goodness.
Every step of pain overcome, every old way shed, and every act of trust in the divine brings us closer to that destination.
An Invitation to a Beautiful Adventure
Standing at this moment in time, it feels as though we are on the shore of a great sea – a stormy sea that marks the end of the old era and the beginning of something new. The winds are howling and the waters are rough with uncertainty.
The question I pose to you is:
Are you ready to cross this stormy sea of the end? On the other side lies the new world we have been talking about – the beautiful adventure into the promised paradise.
It will not be an easy crossing; storms never are. There may be fear, and you may be tempted to turn back to the familiarity of the old shore.
But I assure you, what awaits beyond the storm is worth every effort.
I am surely ready to make this crossing, and I wholeheartedly invite you to join me on this journey.
In fact, I have never been more ready in my life to embrace this adventure, and I believe deep down you are ready too.
Together, with the One as our guide, we can support each other through the waves and winds. We can share courage when one of us feels weak, and share light when one of us feels lost.
By venturing forward now, we transform our pain into purpose and our trials into triumphs.
This is a beautiful adventure – one that humanity has sung legends about and hoped for, generation after generation. Now the chance to live that legend is before us.
So, if your heart resonates with this call, take my hand (in spirit, since I’m almost done healing and have one good hand to offer!) and let us step forward.
Let us cross the stormy sea and enter the new phase that awaits.
The journey may be challenging, but the destination is Divine.
Are you ready? Let’s begin this magnificent adventure together.
